To say that Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers got mauled by the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 16 would be an understatement. The Steelers were outclassed by Patrick Mahomes and company on both ends of the field in a 36-10 loss at Arrowhead Stadium — a loss that adds a nail to the coffin of Pittsburgh's season.

Roethlisberger was also ineffective in that game, ended up with only 159 passing yards and a touchdown with two turnovers (interception and a lost fumble) while completing only 23 of his 35 throws. He was even subbed by Mason Rudolph, who finished the contest for the Steelers.

Big Ben's reaction to his performance and the game as a whole was something to be expected.

“It’s frustrating,” Roethlisberger said. “Obviously, we want to go down the field and put points on the board. I don’t have an answer. I’m sorry.”

The Steelers are technically still in contention for a playoff spot, but with a 7-7-1 record, they're neither inside the top two spots in the AFC North nor in the current postseason picture. There are still two games left on their schedule, which could also be Roethlisberger's final games in the NFL.
