Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers were able to pull off a huge divisional victory in Week 9 against the Baltimore Ravens by a final score of 23-16. While it was a big win, it didn't come without a few scares. One of those was the injury scare that Roethlisberger suffered during the game.

In a radio interview with 93.7 The Fan via Pro Football Talk, Roethlisberger opened up about the injury scare and how he felt when it happened.

“You feel a very big person coming down on top of you and when you hit the ground, instantly you just kind of feel pain, you feel shortness of breath, you feel a little bit of everything, I’ll be honest, but pain mostly. Then as I’m lying there…I had to stay in the fetal position because I couldn’t even straighten my legs because I couldn’t breathe. You just hear the doctors and you hear everybody ‘What’s going on? What’s going on?’ And you want to answer them but you really can’t.”

After undergoing an examination following the injury, it was determined that Roethlisberger was just fine.

Throughout the game, Roethlisberger was able to find success against the Ravens' defense. He threw for 270 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions in the game, leading his team to a much-needed win.

Following the victory, the Steelers now hold a 5-2-1 record and are once again looking like contenders in the AFC. Even without Le'Veon Bell, the Steelers look like a formidable opponent come playoff time.

James Conner has stepped into Bell's role well and has not skipped a beat. He has taken a lot of pressure off of Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown. Pittsburgh needs that to continue to compete with the Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots.

All of that being said, Roethlisberger escaped a potentially bad situation and will be good to go in Week 10 against the Carolina Panthers.
