Wide receiver Donte Moncrief is stoked that he's now a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Moncrief's father is a lifelong fan of the Black and Gold. During his son's stints with the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars, he still supported him whenever he went up against Pittsburgh. However, the older Moncrief wanted the Steelers to win.

Donte Moncrief explained his dad's passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers to 247Sports.com's Bryan Deardo last month.
“He's always been a Steelers fan. He liked Hines Ward and Jerome Bettis and all those guys. It's crazy.
Four weeks before I even signed he told me I was coming here. So when I got the call and they told me it was Pittsburgh and my agent told me what it's gonna be, I knew he was gonna be like,'I told you so.' When it happened, I was happy.”
Not only that, but his father was overjoyed. Now that he's a Steeler, the younger Moncrief told Deardo, “We're gonna get on the same boat.”

The team doesn't envision him replacing Brown. Instead, he should be one of its top three receivers along with JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Washington, per The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Although Moncrief has never had 1,000 yards in a season, he should play an important role in Steelers offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner's system. Losing Brown is huge, so Pittsburgh needs a collaborative effort among Smith-Schuster, Washington, and Moncrief to improve its air attack.
Moncrief enters his sixth NFL season. He spent his four years in the pros with the Colts. According to The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, he earned $9.6 million on a one-year deal with the Jaguars in 2018.
The 25-year-old Moncrief has amassed 2,543 receiving yards and 21 touchdowns on 200 receptions in 69 career games.
