One of the big storylines heading into the season for the Pittsburgh Steelers is what their running back rotation will look like. James Conner knows that the running back room is a little more crowded this year but he still expects a similar role as what he had last year.

We'll cross that bridge when we get there,” Conner said of his workload this year via nfl.com. “But we got talent in that room. We got Jaylen Samuels who's a tremendous receiver, a talented runner. We got Benny Snell. We know the work that he did at Kentucky. He's a hard-bodied runner, so all those guys will get touches. It'll be fun this year just seeing those other guys being successful.”
Last season injuries slowed down Conner's production but he is fully healthy now and the hope is that he can complete a full season. Last season he played in 13 games racking up 973 yards and 12 touchdowns and the expectation is that he should get the first crack at being the starter this year.
The big question is will Conner take a majority of the carries or will Jaylen Samuels and Benny Snell take some of those carries and maybe they will have a three-headed monster. Either way, Conner doesn't seem super concerned about his role and as long as he continues to have production like last year, he should be in line for a big season.
