Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has never been incredibly well-liked around the league, but there is a difference between liking someone and respecting someone.

Well, Fox Sports analyst Jason Whitlock says that Roethlisberger is starting to lose respect around the NFL,

This comes on the heels of comments from New Orleans Saints defensive end Cam Jordan, who said that Roethlisberger is not a top five quarterback of his era.

It is definitely a legitimate argument, as Roethlisberger has played in an era that consists of Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and Eli Manning.

Still, let's not ignore the fact that Roethlisberger does own a couple of Super Bowl rings. Like it or not, that holds weight, so he is right there in that list of heavyweight signal-callers, all of whom are likely or potential Hall-of-Famers.

This season, Roethlisberger has thrown for 4,462 yards, 31 touchdowns, and a league-leading 15 interceptions while completing 66.9 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 96.4. Those are actually really solid numbers, especially for a 36-year-old who has had his fair share of injuries over the course of his career.

Big Ben, who played his collegiate football at the University of Miami, Ohio, was originally selected by Pittsburgh with the 11th overall pick of the 2004 NFL Draft.

Since then, he has made six Pro Bowls, making four straight trips to Honolulu from 2014 through 2017.

The Steelers currently own a record of 8-5-1 and have maintained their hold on first place in the AFC North. They will take on the New Orleans Saints this weekend.
