Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster is already feeling the Holiday vibes. The 24-year-old wanted to make sure to spread the love in these trying times, and he did so by generously paying off $12,500 worth of layaway balances of no less than 88 families.

KDKA CBS Pittsburgh reports that Smith-Schuster's foundation partnered up with the Pay Away the Layaway foundation to surprise dozens of families who previously had layaway plans at the Burlington store.

Lee Karchawer, the founder of Pay Away the Layaway, expressed his delight in an official statement, as he shared how Smith-Schuster's gesture will look to bring some much-needed smiles to families during the Holiday season:

“This has been an especially difficult year for so many families. Our mission at Pay Away the Layaway is to inspire hope and spread kindness, so what better way to kick off the holiday season than by surprising these families with the gifts they had on layaway for their kids?”  Karchawer said in a release. “Every child deserves to smile on Christmas.”

This is a commendable gesture from Smith-Schuster, who himself is doing his bit to share his blessings with those that are in need.

As for his football, the Pro Bowl WR is in the midst of a mini-slump, with the Steelers logging back-to-back losses in their past two matches.

JuJu Smith-Schuster was also in a bit of hot water of late, following his pre-game antics against the Buffalo Bills. The former USC standout posted a video of himself on TikTok dancing on the Bills logo prior to the matchup. Some Buffalo players took exception of Smith-Schuster's disrespectful gesture, and it provided them with some extra motivation in the Bills'26-15 win over the Steelers in Week 14.
