Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has missed the last four games with a knee injury, and the Steelers truly felt his absence on Sunday night, as they scored just 10 points in a seven-point loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Pittsburgh faces the New York Jets in a pivotal Week 16 matchup next Sunday, and Smith-Schuster is not committing to his status one way or the other.

“We'll see,” said Smith-Schuster when asked if he would play against the Jets, via Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com. “It all depends on how my knee feels when I go out there and practice.”

Smith-Schuster added that he felt he could have played against the Bills but that he had to take precautions.

Early last week, the 23-year-old was fully participating in practice and looked on track to return versus Buffalo, but he began experiencing some more knee issues later on in the week and didn't practice on Friday.

Smith-Schuster initially suffered the knee injury during the Steelers' Week 11 loss to the Cleveland Browns. He also sustained a concussion on the same play, but the wide out seems to be fully healed of his head injury.

In the 10 games he has played this season, Smith-Schuster has logged 38 catches for 524 yards and three touchdowns, which is not the type of production Pittsburgh expected from him after he hauled in 111 receptions for 1,426 yards and seven scores last year.

The Steelers dropped to 8-6 with their loss to the Bills, but they still hold the second Wild Card spot in the AFC.
