The Kansas City Chiefs aim to be one of the best teams in the league again after trading away Tyreek Hill. They've done a decent job in finding his replacement after bringing in a plethora of new faces to the receiving corps. One of them is JuJu Smith-Schuster, who plans to rejuvenate his career with his new team. However, a reunion with the Pittsburgh Steelers isn't out of the picture, apparently.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, a Steelers fan had a message for Smith-Schuster: “Don't get rid of all your Pittsburgh gear, because you’re going to come back someday and then you’ll need it again.” The wide receiver had this to say about that:

“Exactly. I could see myself back here. Even today, this shows a lot, that I still have fans out here coming out to support me.”

It's apparent that JuJu Smith-Schuster loves the Steelers fans and the organization. Based on his comments, it sounds like he would have enjoyed remaining with the franchise, but it just didn't pan out that way. The Chiefs' new receiver explained what happened during his final years in Pittsburgh:

“It sucked, man. It was COVID, I hurt my shoulder, wasn't really out there performing. But at the same time, I was just blessed to be a part of this dynasty. And you never know. That's why I came back to do this. Because at the end of the day, you never know,” per Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Well, maybe he returns to the Steelers at some point in his career. For now, he's with the Chiefs and should be Patrick Mahomes' top target outside of Travis Kelce. We'll see how it all plays out, as JuJu Smith-Schuster could choose to return to Pittsburgh rather than remain in Kansas City after the 2022 season. Keep an eye on him as the wide receiver looks to revive his career.
