The Pittsburgh Steelers face off with the Los Angeles Rams in Week 10. At 4-4 they've done a nice job turning their season around (winning three straight games). However, they face a tall-task in Los Angeles this week.
If they want to win, it would benefit the Steelers to have star running back James Conner available to them.
Conner had his best game of the year in Week 8 against the Miami Dolphins. He ran for 145 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries (6.3 yards per carry). It was his first 100-yard rushing game all season, and the 6.3 yards per carry was his high-mark of 2019.
However, Conner did not play in Week 9 against the Indianapolis Colts due to a shoulder injury. Head coach Mike Tomlin is still optimistic that Conner will indeed play in Week 10 against the Rams though.
Tomlin says Ramon Foster will practice Wednesday. James Conner is questionable. Will be limited early in the week. Could practice late. #Steelers #dkps

The Rams are 5-3 on the season and coming off two straight wins and their bye week. While the Steelers are hot, the Rams are right there with him.
Los Angeles is also one of the best teams against the run. They allow the 10th fewest rushing yards per game at just 96.9.
Due to that, it's not hard to realize why the Steelers would appreciate having Conners' services in Week 10. Although he isn't having the best year (3.9 yards per carry), Conner has shown he can be a workhorse back. He can handle a lot of carries in a game and has been known to break off some big runs.
It's also helps that he's extremely dangerous in the passing game, and helps open up the offense a little more. That's been ridiculously important this year with star quarterback Ben Roethlisberger out.
While this is just Conner being moved to questionable, it still brings some added hope for the Steelers heading into an important bout with the Rams.
