The Pittsburgh Steelers have played three preseason hames already, one more than others, because they participated in the Hall of Fame Game. However, Saturday night was their first game in front of their home fans at Heinz Field.
The faithful came out, of course, and cheered on their team as the Steelers won their third preseason game, this time defeating the Detroit Lions 26-20. On Sunday, rookie running back Najee Harris posted a message on Twitter thanking the fans for coming out.
Thank you to all the fans that came out and supported us at @heinzfield and made my first home game electric. We’re all excited to have you guys back in the stadium. #HereWeGo

Harris had limited touches in the game, which isn't entirely a surprise. The first-round pick rushed four times for 10 yards and added two catches for 53 yards, including a 47-yard reception as he showcased his ability to do both and be part of this dangerous Steelers offense.

It is safe to say that fans are excited about what Harris brings to this offense. With Ben Roethlisberger in town for one more go around, and the re-signing of JuJu Smith-Schuster, not to mention Chase Claypool, there is a ton to like about this Pittsburgh offense.
Oh, and the Steelers' defense is star-studded. TJ Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick are among the best at their respective positions, and there is a very real possibility of them making a deep run as they aim for a Super Bowl send-off for Big Ben.
The regular-season home opener should be good, as the Steelers take on the Las Vegas Raiders on September 19.
