The Pittsburgh Steelers will have to play with Mason Rudolph for the rest of the season after Ben Roethlisberger injured his elbow. However, it seems like the team's coaches aren't worried at the slightest.

The team is already comfortable with the idea of Rudolph playing for the rest of the season due to the talent the Oklahoma State product showcased in his first full start against the San Francisco 49ers.

Joe Butter of Trib Live wrote that offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner is confident with his ability to lead despite not meeting expectations when the Steelers lost to the 49ers in Week 3.

“Whether he’s hesitant or didn’t feel comfortable or didn’t like the matchup enough, that all goes into play,” Fichtner said. “It could have been the protection. … I’m not second-guessing Mason at all. We’re going to try to be aggressive as we can be from start to finish.”

Rudolph didn't have the best of starts. Against the 49ers, he only had a subpar 51.85% completion rate. He threw 174 yards and two passing touchdowns. However, he was sacked twice in the process.

Rudolph also said that he's far from satisfied with his performance in his first start.

“The first drives I could have been a little more aggressive,” Rudolph said. “I’m an aggressive person, that’s who I’ve always been at the quarterback position. It’s a little unlike me, but it’s mistakes you always look forward to cleaning up, and I think we already have this week.”

The Steelers are still looking for their first win this season. They hope that they can finally find it with Mason Rudolph leading them against the Cincinnati Bengals.
