The Pittsburgh Steelers somehow managed to pull out a crucial victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 11. It appears quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is going home with more than just a victory.

There was plenty of buzz surrounding this matchup considering the recent history between these two teams. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Jacksonville's trash talk compelled him to take the game ball home:

“They are a really good defense. They like to talk a lot — before the game, during the game,” Roethlisberger said. “But I’m carrying the game ball home.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Roethlisberger's comments. Aside from being one of the most formidable defenses in the league, they also have some of the most notorious trash-talkers. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey made headlines when he ranked the talent level of every starting quarterback in the league. He considered Roethlisberger to be ‘decent' and attributed most of his success to the greatness of wide receiver Antonio Brown. Meanwhile, he also revealed how much linebacker Telvin Smith had been talking in the midst of his three-interception performance in the first half.

Roethlisberger was not able to get much going through the first three quarters of the game. He completed just 11-of-24 yards for 66 yards during that span. However, he managed to lead Pittsburgh to two clutch scoring drives in the fourth quarter to escape with a 20-16 victory.

The Steelers have now built a comfortable lead going into the final stretch of the season. Meanwhile, the Jaguars likely sealed their fate at 3-7. Amidst all the trash talk, it is clear that Roethlisberger was able to get the last word.
