Ryan Shazier continues to defy the odds with his return from a serious spinal injury that he suffered with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's been seen making strides in his rehab with being able to walk and even run with some limitations.

The Steelers linebacker was recently given the PFWA's Halas Award for overcoming adversity with his injury. Earlier this offseason, Shazier was seen in a video doing box jumps. 

Then, there was also a video released of him dancing at his wedding—putting a smile on everybody's face. It's been phenomenal to watch the rigorous journey that the linebacker has been on to make his return to football.

Shazier has continuously said that he still wants to attempt to make a comeback to the Steelers and playing in the NFL. While being off the field, Shazier has been an inspiration to people around the world and continues to be close with the Pittsburgh organization.

Instead of letting a negative situation bring him down, Shazier has made the most of his misfortune. He continues to keep improving the amount of physical activity that he is able to do. Therefore, it's tough to think that the linebacker won't make his way back on the field at some point.

Nonetheless, Shazier has earned the PFWA's Halas Award for overcoming adversity and deservedly so.

Fans around the world will continue to root for Shazier. Plus, Steelers fans are hoping he can find himself playing for their beloved team again someday.

It would be incredible to watch Devin Bush and Shazier play together.
