Pittsburgh Steelers safety Kameron Kelly has been arrested on charges of terroristic threats and resisting arrest, according to court documents posted by multiple members of the Pittsburgh media (via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk).

Kelly is facing two misdemeanor charges of terroristic threats and one misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest. He reportedly refused to leave a bar and then had a struggle with police.

Kelly, who played his collegiate football at San Diego State, actually began his professional playing career in the now defunct Alliance of American Football League, playing both wide receiver and defensive back. Due to an impressive performance with the San Diego Fleet, the Steelers gave him a shot.

The 23-year-old has played in all 14 games this season, logging 15 tackles and an interception in a reserve role.

He spent four seasons at San Diego State, arriving at the school in 2014. Kelly became a full-time starter for the Aztecs during his sophomore campaign, finishing with 58 tackles and a couple of picks.

The Round Rock, Tx. native followed that up by registering 38 tackles and four interceptions in his junior year, and during his senior season, he tallied 67 tackles, five tackles for loss, a pair of sacks, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and seven passes defended.

Kelly went undrafted.

The Steelers got off to a rough 0-3 start this season, but they have since won eight of their last 11 games to improve to 8-6 and vault themselves into playoff contention.

Pittsburgh currently holds the second Wild Card spot in the AFC and will take on the New York Jets on Sunday.
