In Week 15, the Oakland Raiders lost to the Dallas Cowboys in a thrilling showdown between promising young quarterbacks Derek Carr and Dak Prescott. The Raiders were within striking distance against Dallas with Carr having an opportunity to score late in the game but then had a costly fumble right before entering the end zone.
The failed touchdown run by Carr proved to be the difference in the game for Oakland, but although he came up short, the face of the Raiders franchise admits he would've gone for it again if given the chance, via ESPN's Paul Gutierrez.
“From a competitive standpoint, I'd try it, but with better technique, two hands, I don't know, but something to where we don't lose the game,” Carr said. “But from making that decision, I think I'd go for it again.”
With the Raiders losing to the Cowboys, the team's chances of clinching a playoff berth with the AFC Wild Card are slim to none. Oakland's season will likely come to an end without a return to the postseason and some changes needed on both sides of the football.
