With Deebo Samuel out due to an injury, the San Francisco 49ers might be on the hunt for another high-caliber wide receiver. Dez Bryant, who's currently a free agent, seems to be interested in the idea of donning a 49ers uniform.
Kendrick Bourne shared a subtle tweet tagging both the 49ers and Bryant. While it could mean anything or nothing at all, Bryant replied back.

It's difficult to tell if this will lead to the 49ers offering a contract to Dez Bryant as their wide receiver. After all, it has been two seasons since the three-time Pro Bowl played in the NFL. He kicked off 2018 as a free agent until the New Orleans Saints picked him up for a one-year deal. However, two days after inking the deal, Bryant suffered a season-ending Achilles tendon injury.
Bryant is most known for his stint with the Dallas Cowboys where he was named All-Pro in 2014. In the same year, he led the league with 16 receiving touchdowns. He was also donning the Cowboys' blue and white when he was selected to the Pro Bowl thrice.
Deebo Samuel, meanwhile, is expected to miss up to 12 to 16 weeks due for the 49ers due to a Jones fracture. Nonetheless, the wide receiver is feeling optimistic, noting that he can suit back up and slip on his cleats in 10 weeks.
Either way, general manager John Lynch has his eyes peeled on prospective wideouts who can fill in Samuel's shoes. Can this serve as an opportunity for Bryant's comeback? But first and foremost, is he even on the 49ers' list?
