The San Francisco 49ers handed the Dallas Cowboys yet another disappointing playoff loss on Sunday as they now look ahead to a matchup with Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Indeed, there are lots of players battling health problems right now on the 49ers' roster. Joey Bosa and Fred Warner both left Sunday's game which is a huge defensive blow if they're sidelined next weekend.
For Garoppolo, he realizes this is most likely his last kick at the can in San Francisco. The Niners drafted Trey Lance last April for a reason and he's expected to be handed the keys to the offense next season.
Jimmy G showed against Dallas why he's still a very reliable QB in this league though, completing 16 of 26 passes for 172 yards. The run game is where the 49ers really excelled, but Garoppolo did his part. He did admit that his thumb issue has forced him to change up grips on the football and slightly adjust his mechanics, but Garoppolo remains poised to persevere and help San Fran keep their playoff run going.
