The San Francisco 49ers have been on a tear as of late, with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo right at the center of it all. They're ripped off wins in five of their last six contests, including a textbook beating against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 15.

Garoppolo's performances garnered a strong statement in support from 49ers veteran and 5-time Pro Bowler Kyle Juszczyk, who spoke out on the QB after their win over the Falcons.

Via 49ers reporter Cam Inman:

“We’re going to go as far as Jimmy takes us,” said the Niners vet on Garoppolo. “He does such a good job being that leader. So good at commanding that huddle, getting us fired up but keeping us calm and directing the offense.”

Before their recent 5-1 run, the 49ers looked ready to roll over with a 3-5 record and minimal momentum to make a run back into the playoff picture. But things have looked much sunnier in San Francisco of late, breathing new life to the Jimmy Garoppolo era in the Bay Area.

“Guys were locked in today,” Garoppolo said. “You felt it throughout the week, too. It was a big game, NFC opponent, playoff picture and everything like that. It's December football. We knew what we were in for.”

The 49ers can build on their recent run as they take on the Tennessee Titans in Week 16.
