The San Francisco 49ers were able to fend off the Dallas Cowboys' comeback during the NFC Wild Card round, despite the loss of star defensive end Nick Bosa. Bosa went down with a head injury towards the end of the first half and did not return to action. On Monday, Kyle Shanahan revealed that Bosa had entered the NFL's concussion protocol, via Jennifer Lee Chan.

While Shanahan revealed Bosa is in protocols, the head coach did say that he was optimistic that the star edge rusher would be able to suit up against the Packers. Shanahan also provided a positive update on Fred Warner, who appears to be okay after what looked to be a serious ankle injury.

Having Bosa on the field this weekend will be a huge boost for the Niners. The team struggled to slow down the Cowboys after Bosa went down on Sunday, and even more so without Warner on the field. In order to keep the high-octane Packers' offense from running up the score, the Niners will need Bosa back on the field.

Prior to exiting the Wild Card bout, Bosa had recorded three tackles, one QB hit, and 0.5 sacks. He was injured after a collision with his own teammate, during which Bosa took a hard hit to the head while trying to get after Dak Prescott.

Fortunately, it seems as if Bosa should be back and ready to go for the Divisional Round against the Packers, which certainly bodes well for the Niners' chance at staging an upset at Lambeau.
