There was some buzz recently about San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey Lance and a rumor that the team needed to alter his throw mechanics because so-called “arm fatigue” with his previous delivery. The Niners have vehemently denied such an issue ever existed.
With all the talk of arm fatigue making the rounds, 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk posted a portion of a recent workout session with Trey Lance. Safe to say he's free to clown on the issue entirely, with the caption he used on the Instagram post:

That arm certainly doesn't look fatigued while making those deep throws to Aiyuk. Both players have a lot to prove next season after underperforming relative to their expectations the previous year.
Brandon Aiyuk was expected to be a breakout star at receiver after what was a promising rookie campaign. A lot of it had to do with a very slow start. Aiyuk didn't even tally a hundred yards total through the first six games of the season. He was benched in Week 1 entirely. He was able to turn it on a bit later into the season but he'll likely look to post bigger numbers in 2022.
When Trey Lance was drafted, many imagined him to be a potential Year 1 starter for the 49ers as the Jimmy Garoppolo era faded into memory. However, he played in just six games with only two starts throughout the season. While Garoppolo is still on the team, his shoulder issues could pave the way for a Trey Lance to take over for good. Unless, of course, his arm gets fatigued along the way.
