The Seattle Seahawks have signed offensive lineman Cedric Ogbuehi, according to Jordan Schultz of ESPN.

This marks the second move the Seahawks have made to bolster their offensive line on Wednesday, as they signed former New York Jets tackle Brandon Shell earlier in the day.

Ogbuehi spent the 2019 campaign with the Jacksonville Jaguars, playing in 14 games. He did not log a single start, but he totaled 155 snaps at tackle.

The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Texas A&M, was originally selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round (21st pick overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft.

Due to a torn ACL, the latest Seahawks acquisition suffered during his final collegiate season, Ogbuehi only participated in five games during his rookie year with the Bengals. The following year, Ogbuehi was inserted into the starting lineup, starting 12 of his 14 appearances and spending time at both tackle positions. He then started 13 of his 14 games in 2017, replacing the departed Andrew Whitworth at left tackle.

However, Ogbuehi's 2017 campaign did not go well, resulting in Cincinnati declining the fifth-year option on his contract. He spent one more year with the Bengals in 2018, but played in just two games.

That ensuing offseason, Ogbuehi signed a one-year deal with the Jaguars.

Seattle has had a whole lot of trouble with its offensive line for quite some time now, dating all the way back to Russell Wilson's rookie year in 2012.

As a matter of fact, Pro Football Focus ranked the Seahawks' offensive line 27th in the NFL in 2019.

Seattle went 11-5 and made it to the divisional round of the playoffs before losing to the Green Bay Packers this past season.
