The Seattle Seahawks could emerge as one of the frontrunners to land free-agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. after Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll came out with a cryptic statement about the possibility of claiming OBJ off the waiver wire.
When asked about potentially bringing the three-time Pro Bowler to Seattle, Carroll sort of beat around the bush before finally hinting that yes, there is indeed a possibility of Beckham becoming a Seahawk in the near future (h/t Field Yates of ESPN):
“So, I didn’t say yes or I didn’t say no,” Carroll said to end his statement. “That’s just cause… you’ll see.”
Pete Carroll is asked whether Seattle will claim Odell Beckham, Jr. He does not rule it out, ending his answer with this and a smile: “So, I didn’t say yes or I didn’t say no. That’s just cause…you’ll see.”

Carroll also gave off a big smile right after dropping a major hint about the Seahawks' potential interest in Beckham. As the above Tweet states, Seattle currently has enough cap room to swoop in on the former Cleveland Browns star.
Should they actually try and chase OBJ, Carroll and his Seahawks are not going to have a straightforward path towards the former AP Offensive Rooke of the Year. Other teams have already been linked to Beckham, which includes the likes of the New York Giants, the San Francisco 49ers, and the New Orleans Saints. Needless to say, it's going to be a very interesting next few days for Odell Beckham Jr. and his future in the NFL.
