The Seattle Seahawks survived a scare against the Los Angeles Rams after Russell Wilson connected to Chris Carson for the go-ahead TD that ended the game in their favor.

Thanks to his fantastic catch, the Seahawks won the game 30-29 in front of their adoring fans. It also puts them at the top of the fiercely competitive NFC West and gives them the undeniable lead.

However, there was a point in the game-winning play where Carson almost lost the ball as he struggled to keep it in his arms. Fortunately for him, he was able to corral the ball before going down for the TD.

After the game, a relieved Carson revealed that he didn't see the ball in the air until it was right there in front of him.

It's an impressive show of athleticism for Carson to be able to catch the football in such a high-pressure situation. Under the bright lights and the magnitude, it'd be easy for anyone to fumble the football.

However, there's more to the play then the 25-year-old's fantastic catch. Wilson also deserves praise for the work he did under pressure. He covered 268 passing yards and four TDs on an impeccable 73.91% completion rate.

The 30-year-old QB's productivity is easily at MVP levels. He's yet to throw an interception, has never had a completion rate lower than 60%, and has scored eight TDs prior to this Week 5 game.

He'll be the key for the Seahawks' Super Bowl chances this season, and it looks like he'll be on course to compete for MVP honors. Seahawks fans are thankful for him being there in their pocket.
