Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin is a straightforward man. He knows his teams need wins, not distractions at any point during the grueling football season. In wake of wide receiver Antonio Brown going berserk on a Gatorade container before screaming at offensive coordinator Todd Haley during the second quarter of their 26-9 win over the Baltimore Ravens, Tomlin felt compelled to offer his take during his weekly news conference on earlier this week.
Per Steelers.com:
“Sunday was a big game for a lot of reasons, and emotions are capable of getting away from you,” continued Tomlin. “It doesn’t need to happen. It shouldn’t happen. Hopefully it won’t moving forward. Hopefully he’s learned a lesson through that.
What made Brown so unhappy was Ben Roethlisberger missing him wide open in the middle of the field. The quarterback threw an incomplete pass to Le’Veon Bell near the sidelines, wasting a grand opportunity for a big yardage gain for Brown, who broke free from his defender.

Brown plays an important role in the Steelers’ offense, which is averaging 227 yards per game this season. He leads the team with 388 receiving yards on 30 receptions. Perhaps Brown is more frustrated about the fact that he only has one touchdown to show through four games.
Tomlin and the Steelers are ready to move on from this. Their eyes are now trained on maintaining their grip on the No. 1 spot in the AFC North after improving to 3-1 last Sunday.
