It’s been a crazy 2017 indeed for the NFL – on the field and on the betting boards with Super Bowl LII right around the corner.
Anyone who bet on the Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, or the Oakland Raiders to win this season’s Super Bowl all lost money as none of those teams managed to even get into the NFL playoffs. Despite the fact that all four of them were among the favorites to win it all prior to this season, per SportsOddHistory.com.
As for the teams who are still alive and are going to play beyond Week 17 of the regular season, here are the latest Vegas odds from RJ Bell of Pregame.com.
SUPER BOWL ODDS
Patriots 2/1
Vikings 4/1
Steelers 6/1
Saints 10/1
Rams 12/1
Eagles 15/1
Chiefs 20/1
Falcons 23/1
Jaguars 28/1
Panthers 30/1
Titans 125/1
Bills 165/1— RJ Bell (@RJinVegas) January 2, 2018
The New England Patriots are unsurprisingly the heavy Super Bowl chalks with odds of 2/1 or +200 in moneyline odds. It’s not that much different from the +275 odds they had back in early September.
The Minnesota Vikings, meanwhile, have greatly decreased their odds from around +4,000 in the preseason to only +400.
For those looking for long shots to lay money on, the Tennessee Titans and the Buffalo Bills have among the longest odds to take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy. The Titans are sitting on a price of +12,500, which is multiple times higher than their +2,000 odds prior to this season. Buffalo, on the other hand, are labeled as +16,500 underdogs. But hey, in a season like this, anything is possible.
