The departure of defensive tackle Gerald McCoy this offseason left quite a notable void up front for the Tampa Bay buccaneers. It appears they are still doing what they can to fill it ahead of the 2019 NFL season.
According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle, the Bucs have brought in defensive lineman Shane Bowman for a workout.

Tampa Bay seemingly managed to find a viable replacement for McCoy in defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. In fact, their efforts had even caused some criticism from the former Bucs star himself. Regardless, it is clear that they are still concerned with the depth they have outside of Suh
Article Continues BelowBowman spent his college days at Washington as a vital part of their formidable defensive line. Injuries limited him to playing in only eight games during the 2018 campaign. As a result, he finished the year with just five tackles and a sack.
Fortunately, it seems he will have a chance to keep his NFL dreams alive in Tampa Bay. It is no secret that they have ushered in some significant changes this offseason, however, there is still plenty of hope about a potential resurgence. Wide receiver Mike Evans recently solidified that notion by suggesting it would be ‘disappointing' for them to miss the playoffs once again.
Of course, the Bucs will need to continue doing their due diligence by addressing some of the issues currently plaguing their roster. This includes bringing in some more depth behind Suh.
