From September 13 to 19, the NFL was able to report zero positive confirmed tests for the virus among its players. The league has not yet released figures for the later dates.

The situation involving the Titans and the Vikings will potentially affect the next games on their schedules. The former will face the Pittsburgh Steelers while the latter will visit the Houston Texans on October 4.

In the event that the teams' Week 4 games will push through, both squads will certainly be at a disadvantage against their opponents because they will be conducting everything through online means from now on. Their training facilities have been recently shut down to control the widespread of the virus.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell also provided updates regarding the situation:

“Both clubs are working closely with the NFL and the [NFL Players Association], including our infectious disease experts, to evaluate close contacts, perform additional testing and monitor developments,” he said. “All decisions will be made with health and safety as our primary consideration.
