The Baltimore Ravens have traded former second-round pick Kamalei Correa to the Tennessee Titans, per Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic.
Adam Schefter of ESPN adds that the Ravens will receive the Titans’ 2019 sixth-round pick in exchange for the outside linebacker.
Correa, 24, played 25 games in his two seasons in Baltimore, making four starts. He failed to record a single sack during that time and made 11 tackles as he saw limited playing time with Terrell Suggs, Matt Judon, and Za’Darius Smith ahead of him in the Ravens depth chart.
Correa did have a standout performance in the Hall of Fame game against the Chicago Bears. He racked up six tackles, three sacks, a forced fumble, an interception and two passes defended.
Correa, who hails from Hawai’i, will now head to Tennesse where he will be reunited with his high school teammate, Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota. He will also get back to work with new Titans defensive coordinator Dean Pees, who was his defensive coordinator on the Ravens.
The Titans, who have been among the league leaders in sacks over the last couple of seasons, aren't exactly in desperate need of pass rush help. They are still stacked with capable pass rushers even after releasing their own second-rounder in outside linebacker Kevin Dodd, who was picked nine spots ahead of Correa in the 2016 NFL Draft.
Correa will have to compete with the likes of Brian Orakpo, Derrick Morgan, and second-round pick Harold Landry for playing time at outside linebacker on the Titans this season.
