The Tennessee Titans haven't needed much from Ryan Tannehill in terms of throwing the ball in their first two playoff games. But as the team prepares for the Kansas City Chiefs, it's likely that Tannehill will have to perform well through the air to win.

The emergence of Tannehill this season was an unforeseen blessing for the Titans. Despite not beginning the season as the starter, the former Miami Dolphins' quarterback led Tennessee out of a hole at 2-4 and turned them into contenders in the AFC.

Last offseason, Tannehill was traded to the Titans in exchange for a fourth and seventh-round pick. In his first season with the Titans, the veteran quarterback will only make $1.75 million.

Without a doubt, the 31-year-old quarterback is going to get a hefty pay-raise in 2020. Before that happens though, Tannehill has his sights on achieving the impossible and advancing to the Super Bowl as the No. 6 seed. Given that, here are a few bold predictions for the Titans' quarterback against the Chiefs.

Tannehill will complete 75 percent of his passes

During the regular season, Tannehill was extremely efficient in running Arthur Smith's (Titans' offensive coordinator) offense. As a matter of fact, Tannehill completed a career-high 70.3 percent of his 286 attempts in 2019.

The eight-year veteran is beginning to show off his pinpoint accuracy as he becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2020. So far in the postseason, Tannehill has only completed 15 of his 29 attempts (51.7 percent).

Despite his ineffectiveness thus far in the postseason, Tannehill will be successful on 75 percent of his passes versus the Chiefs. Kansas City allowed a completion percentage of 60.5 percent in the regular season (fourth-fewest in the NFL).

Tannehill torches Kansas City's defense for 300 passing yards

It goes without saying that Tennessee would love to control the time of possession by pounding the rock with Derrick Henry and keeping Patrick Mahomes on the sideline. As good as that sounds, it's not likely to happen the way the Titans want it to.

Over the weekend, Mahomes and the Chiefs showed once again that they can score points in bunches in the blink of an eye. Due to their ability to score with ease, Tannehill could very well be relied upon to throw the football.

With that in mind, he will torch Kansas City's defense for 300 passing yards to set a playoff career-high. The Chiefs gave up an average of only 221.4 passing yards per game in the regular season (eighth-best in the NFL).

Tannehill tosses three touchdowns to lead Titans to a victory

Over the past two weeks, the Titans have defied the odds and upset the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens in the postseason. Amid their playoff run, Tennessee has dominated the line-of-scrimmage and has controlled the tempo with their rushing attack.

After seeing Henry run the ball over the past two months, it's hard to imagine the Chiefs slowing him down. At the same time, Tannehill should see a bit more action against Kansas City's high-flying offense.

As a result, the impending free agent will toss three touchdowns to help advance the Titans to the Super Bowl. In the event that Tannehill pulls off another upset, Tennessee may pay him before the offseason even begins.
