The Tennessee Titans were part of the major outbreak of COVID-19 cases with the Minnesota Vikings.

As of right now, they will still be playing their game against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 4. However, they might not really get a chance to practice. According to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network on Twitter, the Tennessee coaching staff will not be using that as an excuse though.

There seems to be a legitimate chance that the Titans will not really get to work much. Because of the outbreak, they may need to basically all quarantine separately to make sure there is no further spread.

While they are doing that, the contact tracing and everything else will get done. Hopefully, everything will be cleared up in a few days and they will be ready for their game with the Steelers on Sunday.

Because of the situation, though, even if they are allowed to play, practice is going to be very limited. Garafolo's tweet talks about the team having zero practices then just having a walkthrough on Saturday before the game.

If that is the case, do not expect to hear head coach Mike Vrabel or anyone else on the team use that as an excuse should the Titans lose.

While it certainly does sting a little bit that they might not be able to practice, they are professional athletes. The Titans would not benefit from having a few days of no practice, but it would not be the end of the world. They should still be able to find a way to watch film – even if it is done separately. Moreover, the coaches will still be able to communicate things that they want to the players.
