Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry was nothing short of spectacular down the final stretch of the 2018 campaign. He is hoping to pick up where he left off to start the 2019 NFL season.
Henry's performance toward the end of the year was a drastic change from how he started. He said he is hoping to provide much more consistency this time around, via the team’s website:

It is undoubtedly encouraging to see Henry is not looking to rest on his merits just yet. There is no question that expectations for him are as high as ever going into this season.
Henry finished the 2018 campaign with 1,059 yards and 12 touchdowns, however, the bulk of his production came after the bye week. He mustered up just 273 yards and a touchdown on a mere 3.3 yards per carry through the first seven games of the season. He then made history by rushing for 627 yards and eight touchdowns in the month of December alone.
Henry's comments are also a positive update on the state of his health. He has missed the preseason while recovering from a lower leg injury he suffered on the first day of training camp. Fortunately, he has since made his return to practice and is optimistic about his status for Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns.
