A group of Tennessee Titans players held a workout at a Nashville school last week despite being told not to, and the NFL could come down on the team extremely hard.
According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Titans could face a “historic” punishment from the NFL for violating league protocol.
There’s buzz in league circles of possible “historic” punishment for the Titans given the various violations.
“Especially if Troy [Vincent] was the one that told them not to practice,” one league source opined.
The Titans' Week 4 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers was rescheduled for Oct. 25 because of Tennessee's positive coronavirus tests. The team is scheduled to play the Buffalo Bills in Week 5, but now that game is up in the air.

What is certain, though, is that this is a very bad look for the Tennessee organization. Per a memo that was sent to all teams, if a club violates the rules the NFL laid out, they are subject “to financial and competitive discipline that can include loss of draft picks and forfeiture of a game,” per ESPN.
The Titans are 3-0 on the young season and atop the AFC South standings.
