There have been a number of significant wide receiver trades in the 2022 NFL offseason, with Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill the most notable. Given those deals, many have turned to Tennessee Titans star A.J. Brown and Seattle Seahawks star DK Metcalf as the next crop of wideouts who could be on the move. Both players have one more season left on their rookie contracts and are looking for new deals.

Metcalf recently tried to shoot down trade rumors involving his name, while Brown took to Twitter with a cryptic tweet that seemed to express his frustration at being involved in rumors. Well, the latest reporting from ESPN's Dianna Russini suggests Brown isn't going anywhere:

Of course, this doesn't necessarily mean nothing will happen. There have been countless occasions in sports where a team signals no desire to trade a player before ultimately pulling the trigger on a trade. If a trade suitor puts a Godfather offer on the table, the Titans might just listen and accept it.

Or, maybe Tennessee truly has no interest in trading Brown and would like to sign him to a new long-term deal. The 24-year-old has been outstanding to start his NFL career, even though he took a slight step back in 2021. After going over 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons and racking up 19 total receiving touchdowns, Brown caught 63 passes for 869 yards and five scores in 13 games in 2021.

The Titans have already made some notable moves at wide receiver this offseason, releasing Julio Jones after an injury-plagued 2021 campaign and then acquiring Robert Woods from the Los Angeles Rams. A Brown trade would be surprising at this point, but we've seen some crazy stuff this offseason, so be ready for anything.
