Free-agent defensive end Jadeveon Clowney still hasn't found a new home to settle in. The three-time Pro Bowler has been recently linked to signing rumors involving several teams. However, the Tennessee Titans have made it known that they are not willing to take a chance unless they get to see him in person.

Titans general manager Jon Robinson discussed the team's stance on the Clowney situation, according to Josh Alper of NBC Sports :

“What I’ve seen on Twitter, him rushing off the edge and hitting that bag,” Robinson said. “Anytime you are dealing with whatever the contract is going to command, you want to make sure that the player is healthy, that you are able to allow your doctors to see him, to look at it, to make sure everything is going to be good.”

The Seattle Seahawks didn't place the franchise tag on Clowney, thus making him available to test the free-agent market. The 27-year old tallied a total of three sacks and 31 total tackles in 13 games played for the Seahawks last season.

Spotrac projects Clowney would make an average annual salary of $20 million a season, which would rank third amongst defensive ends in the NFL. Only teams that have sufficient cap space can take on Clowney's hefty contract, which ultimately limits his potential suitors.

The league has not allowed teams to bring free agents in for workouts or physicals at this point clearly hurts Clowney's chances of finding a new team.

Anyone who is willing to invest in him will have an excellent pass rusher at their disposal, which can immediately make an impact on the defensive end.
