AJ Brown and the Tennessee Titans are trying to get back on the winning track after suffering back to back losses to the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers and the lowly Cincinnati Bengals.

Against the Steelers and Bengals, the Titans fell behind early and tried to recover, but could not overcome large deficits in the end. Today against the Chicago Bears, Tennessee is trying to avoid that, with quarterback Ryan Tannehill connecting with wide receiver AJ Brown early to make sure that the Titans found the end zone first and will jump to an early lead.

On third-and-two on Chicago’s 40-yard line, Tannehill connected with AJ Brown on a 40-yard touchdown to give the Titans a 10-0 lead over the Bears. Chicago’s cornerback Buster Skrine had Brown well covered before the pass, but it made no difference to the second-year player, who dragged the defender all the way to the end zone for a score in a show of strength.

According to Next Gen Stats, that TD pass by Tannehill is his “most improbable” of the season, thus far.

It was the 32-year old Tannehill’s 17th touchdown pass of the season against just three interceptions, while it was the 23-year old Brown’s sixth receiving touchdown of the season.
