The Washington Commanders are reportedly on the lookout for a quarterback for the coming season.
According to a recent ESPN report, Washington has a list of 42 quarterbacks that they believe can improve their team for next season. Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers, two elite quarterbacks, were on their list.
Given that they are both excellent quarterbacks, it would make sense for the Commanders to go out and try to obtain a guy like that. Because Aaron Rodgers is likely to want to spend his last years with an automatic championship contender, they will have a better chance of landing a player like Russell Wilson.
Wilson, on the other hand, brings a wealth of experience to the table, having played in the NFL for a long period and winning for most of his career.
The Washington Commanders finished 7-10 last season and will try to improve in the NFC East Division this year.
Washington has one of the best defenses in the NFL, and if they can simply enhance their quarterback position while also bringing in a few guys who can play alongside their future quarterback, they'll be in good shape. They'll be a team that has a chance to win the division if everything falls into place for them.
It could take a long time to find the guy they want for the Commanders, but the addition should be made as soon as possible so that they can become used to the offense.
