The Washington Football Team received some good news ahead of their Sunday night showdown against the Los Angeles Rams. According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Washington expects defensive end Chase Young to return to the field after a one-game absence due to a groin injury.

Earlier reports this week saw Young looking good in practice and in the drills he participated in. This marked his first time back on the field after he injured his groin in their Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

His workload reportedly increased after initially being limited on Thursday. By Friday, he was a full participant in practice.

After his workout this week, Washington head coach Ron Rivera also noted that their prized rookie's movement looked good. With Young expected to come back, it seems like everything looked smoothly for the 21-year old on Sunday morning.

Aside from Chase Young, Washington also has a number of players on the injury list. This includes linebacker Cole Holcomb, center Chase Roullier, and right guard Wes Schweitzer. Nonetheless, all of them are reportedly listed as questionable against Los Angeles.

Washington has certainly missed the services of the No. 2 overall pick with their 1-3 start to the season so far. Getting the Ohio State standout back is certainly good news for them considering they lost three games in a row after their season-opening victory over the Philadelphia Eagles around a month ago.

Young has looked good through his first two games so far, where he had eight tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble.
