The addition of Paul Millsap to their fold this summer has made the Denver Nuggets a much-improved team, and will have one of the best frontcourts in the NBA today. Partnering the four-time All-Star with promising center Nikola Jokic has made a lot of fans believe that they can make serious noise in the Western Conference next season.

Center Darrell Arthur, for one, holds the utmost belief in their new lineup that he recently said he is certain that they are not just a playoff team, but also a contender for the championship.

While the confidence the 29-year-old Kansas product is showing could be something that he can rub off on his teammates, it’s also considered a stretch for him to quickly compare them to the Dubs, who have been the most successful team in the league in the past three seasons, winning two titles over that stretch.

It’s certainly easier said than done as there are also a number of teams that have added key pieces to their rosters in order to strengthen their bid for the title next year. The advantage for the Nuggets though is that Paul Millsap brings plenty of experience to the table, making him the perfect partner to the team's rising star in Nikola Jokic.
