The 2023 NBA Finals between the Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat will tip off on Thursday night. A big reason why the Nuggets and Heat have made it to this stage is the excellent play of their role players. And one of the Nuggets' best role players these playoffs has been forward Bruce Brown, who is averaging 12.2 points per game during the postseason on 53.1% shooting from the field.

Brown recently hopped on SiriusXM NBA Radio to talk about the NBA Finals and dropped a truth bomb on the continued lack of respect shown to the Nuggets, per a tweet from the radio show's official Twitter account:

“They only watch us now because we are in the Finals.”

Bruce Brown, 26, is in his fifth year in the NBA and first as a member of the Denver Nuggets franchise. He averaged 11.5 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.1 steals, 0.6 blocks, 1.5 turnovers, and 2.4 personal fouls per game across 80 appearances this season (31 starts).

The former Miami star shot the ball with solid accuracy from behind the three-point arc in the 2022-23 campaign — Brown's 35.8% three-point percentage was the second-highest of his pro career.

Brown and the Denver Nuggets should view Thursday night's Game 1 as a must-win game. After all, if they lose Game 1 to Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and the Heat, Miami will take home-court advantage in this series from Denver. So here's to hoping that Nikola Jokic will put together an offensive masterclass on Thursday and lead the Nuggets to a victory and a 1-0 series lead in these NBA Finals.
