It's safe to assume Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray is not happy with his NBA 2K22 rating.

On Saturday, Murray asked NBA 2K ambassador Ronnie 2k about his rating in the upcoming game. To his surprise, however, he even decreased from his previous numbers and got an 85 to start.

It's certainly now what Jamal Murray expected. He ended up with an 86 in the previous instalment of the game, and after a career year when he averaged personal bests of 21.2 points, 4.8 assists and 1.3 steals, it's not wrong to assume those numbers would have gone higher.

Unfortunately, that's not the case. The Nuggets star did make his thoughts clear to Ronnie 2K though, noting that they are “going the wrong” way with their rating.

For comparison purposes, LaMelo Ball and Ben Simmons both got an 84 despite averaging around 15 points per game. Of course, they both did slightly better in the rebounds and assists department, but Murray can certainly make a case that he should have been higher considering his impact to the Nuggets' winning record.

Murray can still increase his rating when the 2021-22 season starts, and if he needs some added motivation, that could very well provide him a little boost.

Nonetheless, it is worth noting that NBA 2K22 and Ronnie 2K have been on the receiving end of criticisms about its rating. leBron James has since expressed his dissatisfaction to the ratings of Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant, while Bradley Beal's wife went at Ronnie 2K for the game's “joke” rating system.
