Denver Nuggets head coach Michael Malone delivered another incredible quote during his media session on Wednesday.

Malone acknowledged there's probably a lot of people out there who think the Nuggets are like an “SAT question” — one which asks to eliminate the odd one out. After all, in the 2020 NBA playoffs, the other three teams in the conference finals (Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics and Miami Heat) are storied franchises.

However, the Nuggets coach claimed Denver is a team made up of guys who fight no matter what and that is what makes them deserving to be in the West Finals, fighting for a spot on the biggest stage of all.

“I think there's probably a lot of people out there that look at us and say, we're that SAT question, which team doesn't belong? Oh, it's the Denver Nuggets. Lakers, Boston, that's basketball royalty. The Miami Heat, they have championships. What does Denver have?” Michael Malone said, via Harrison Wind of DNVR Sports.

“Well, we've got a special group that believes, that fights, and I think represents a lot of people from all across this country.”

The Nuggets have been the best story of the Walt Disney bubble. They have erased two 3-1 series deficits in the playoffs and played the underdog role to a T.

Behind Malone's stellar coaching job and Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic playing like superstars, the Nuggets are down only 2-1 to the mighty Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.

Los Angeles would be wise to learn from the mistakes that the Utah Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers made and not take its foot off the gas pedal since this Denver team will never quit.
