Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic is one of the more underappreciated stars in the NBA. Jokic, who isn't the most athletic of players in the league, certainly has an approach to the game that fans aren't accustomed to seeing. The Nuggets star's lack of love among basketball fans and pundits has even stretched into the NBA MVP discussion, an award Jokic has been one of the favorites to take home all year long. Amid the team's NBA Playoff series against the Golden State Warriors, Nuggets head coach Mike Malone was asked what his opinion is of those who say that Jokic is an “analytical MVP.” Malone had a savage response, per Nuggets reporter Katy Winge.

Malone isn't having any of what these ‘fools' are saying about Jokic. The Nuggets head coach makes a good point when he says that just because someone isn't “dunking on three people” doesn't mean they're not a good player.

Those are certainly the plays that fans go home remembering, but Jokic makes plenty of memorable plays too, as his highlight-reel passes are the stuff of NBA legend.

Not only that, but Jokic's impact on winning- as pointed out by Malone- is one of the best facets of his game. Over the last five seasons, the Nuggets have won no less than 46 games in a tough Western Conference.

If that- combined with Jokic's excellent numbers- isn't enough to secure the Nuggets star an MVP trophy, nothing will be.
