It's safe to say Washington Wizards head coach Scott Brooks is a big fan of Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic.

While speaking to reporters on Thursday before the Wizards-Nuggets game, Brooks said Jokic “makes passes that Magic Johnson didn't even make.”

Nikola Jokic is one of the best passing big men in the NBA.

The 24-year-old is averaging 7.5 assists per game this season. That's eighth in the NBA and ahead of players such as Kyrie Irving, D'Angelo Russell, Damian Lillard, Mike Conley and Ricky Rubio — guards who run their respective teams' offenses.

Along with his elite passing skills, Jokic has developed into a monster scorer and rebounder. The All-Star is averaging 20.3 points and 10.7 rebounds per game for the Nuggets while shooting 50.9 percent from the field, 32.3 percent beyond the arc and 83.6 percent from the free throw line.

Jokic has 47 double-doubles and 12 triple-doubles on the season. He has guided the Nuggets to the second-best record in the Western Conference. Denver is 47-22 on the season and has already clinched a playoff spot.

Magic Johnson is universally recognized as the greatest point guard in NBA history. His Showtime Lakers were one of the funnest teams to watch in the long and evolving journey of professional basketball. The fact that Scott Brooks is putting Jokic in Magic's company speaks to how lethal a passer the big man is.
