The Nuggets' victory was in large part due to a strong 2nd quarter performance, where they outscored Minnesota by 10 points. However, the Timberwolves kept it close throughout the contest until they missed a key opportunity to make it a one score game with 45 seconds left. Jamal Murray made an ugly pass that was quickly stolen by Mike Conley Jr. However, Anthony Edwards missed a crucial three-pointer that would've made the game 99-97.

From that moment, Denver was able to keep a possession lead or higher, thanks to a mixture of fouls and good offensive play. Overall, Minnesota fought until the bitter end. But they had to watch Denver advance to the next round from the sidelines of their home stadium

In terms of player performances, 2K24 Season 7 cover star Jamal Murray dropped 31 points, 8 assists, and two steals in the victory. Nikola Jokic recorded 14 rebounds, added 19 points, and converted half of his three-point attempts on the night. Furthermore, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope dropped 21 points while adding another 5 assists to his stat sheet. Overall, a solid day from the Nuggets offense.

As for the Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards unsurprisingly led the team in scoring. However, he also led with 6 assists while also earning both a block and a steal. Furthermore, he converted 7-of-14 3PT attempts. However, the the rest of the Timberwolves didn't play so great. Mike Conley Jr. scored 18 points, but also turned over the ball three times.

With the win, Denver advances to the Western NBA Conference Finals, where they will play either the Mavericks or the Thunder. While both teams are incredibly talented, Denver can at least focus on resting their players for a bit longer. Furthermore, they'll hope to see the Thunder and Mavericks play for 7 Games. Nevertheless, Jokic and co. will be ready when the time comes.

With the loss, Minnesota's impressive playoff run comes to an end. While they had a strong start, they were simply unable to hold off the defending champions. However, Anthony Edwards' continued excellence on the court shows there's bright days ahead for the Timberwolves. They just need to capitalize on this opportunity soon as their championship window is soon opening.

In terms of accuracy, we feel the scoreboard feels appropriate. We tried adjusting CPU Sliders and other settings, as well as adjusting the difficulty to create more authentic scores. One area that's more difficult to control is injuries. Some injuries are labeled Game-Time Decisions, and we don't know who's playing in order to create realistic lineups. Furthermore, trying to create custom rosters led to game crashes.

Therefore, until we find a solution, we just use the 2K24 rosters available to us from 2K. Regardless, we had a blast watching this simulation series unfold. However, you might just see a Game 7 if Minnesota finds a way to rebound in real life.
