Now that the stage is set for the third consecutive finals meeting between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers, many are looking forward to finding out who will win their rubber match. That includes the oddsmakers as well, as they prepare to receive bets from bettors around the world.

A few minutes after the Cavs eliminated the Boston Celtics, the odds for Game 1 of the finals have already surfaced and the Dubs are heavily favored to win at home next Thursday. They were given a seven-point lead to cover on the spread and are also the favorites to win the series, which the oddsmakers believe will not go the distance.

The Cavaliers may see this as extra motivation to win their second title in as many years, to prove their doubters wrong and show the whole world why they are the defending champions. The lines appear to be lopsided and part of the reason is the Warriors' postseason record, as they remain unbeaten in 12 games heading to the finals where they also own homecourt advantage.

The finals will start on June 1st inside the Oracle Arena in Oakland, and nothing short of an epic series can be expected from the third matchup between the two best teams in the league the past three years.
