Things have changed quite a bit around the Ohio State football program in the last two weeks. Not too long ago, the Buckeyes were undefeated and ranked #2 in the country. Their fans were certain that they would beat rival Michigan after the Wolverines' sign-stealing news came to light, and they were certain that Ohio State would be on top of the Big Ten again. The Buckeyes fell against Michigan again, however, and they are not going to the College Football Playoff this season. Ohio State will also need to find a new quarterback before their bowl game as Kyle McCord has entered the transfer portal.

A lot can change in a little amount of time in college football, and Ohio State football fans are seeing that happen right now. The Buckeyes still have one more game left this season as Ohio State will take on Missouri football in the Cotton Bowl, and the next QB up on the depth chart is Devin Brown. Brown and McCord were involved in a QB battle in the offseason, and McCord ended up getting the nod.

Devin Brown made this whole situation a lot more interesting on Tuesday as he tweeted a photo of burning boats, and a lot of Ohio State fans are wondering what that message means. Burning boats could be Brown's way of saying that he isn't going anywhere, but some are speculating that it could mean that things are burning to the ground under Ohio State head coach Ryan Day. At the end of the day, Brown is the only one who knows the true meaning.

If Brown does stay, he should get a lot of playing time in the Cotton Bowl, and he will fight for the starting QB job next year. The Buckeyes are expected to hit the portal to find a new QB, but they will have a battle on their hands if Brown decides to stay.
