Russell Westbrook was a man possessed against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday night. The Washington Wizards star couldn't miss all game, so much so that he even scored on the wrong rim.

That basket broke a 109-109 tie with five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter. Westbrook was hot all game, ending with 42 points on 17 of 30 shooting from the field. He finished with 10 rebounds and was one assist shy of notching yet another triple-double in an already record-breaking season. Unfortunately for the Wizards, Russ' scoring magnetism stayed on even on the other side of the floor.

In the end, it was Mavs star Luka Doncic who posted a triple-double of his own. The Slovenian looked like Westbrook himself, as he finished with 31 points, 12 rebounds, and a downright absurd 20 assists.

Those two points gifted by Westbrook proved to be the difference as the Mavs prevailed in a 1-point game, 125-124. The Mavs went ahead by a point after a clutch bucket from Dorian Finney-Smith that also rewarded Doncic with his 20th and final assist.

The Wizards had one final chance to take the game back, but Bradley Beal missed a game-winner off a clean look from the top of the key. Those two points from Russ came back to haunt the Wizards in a big way, much to the delight of Mavs fans everywhere.

With the win, the Mavs tie the Lakers in the standings to hold onto the highly-coveted fifth seed in the West.
