The Indiana Pacers are enjoying a stellar postseason with designs of knocking off the recent champion Milwaukee Bucks. On Thursday night, the Pacers seized a 59-47 halftime lead over the visiting Bucks in an effort to punch their ticket to the next round while nursing a 3-2 series lead.
The Pacers' hot start came during a Damian Lillard injury return that coincided with the loss of the Bucks' number one star. The two pacers most to blame for the team's shocking loss in Game Five were also revealed.
On Thursday, the Pacers fans got more than a little rowdy, and two Bucks players were the targets of the mockery during the eventful Game 6.
Pacers Fan Mocks Damian Lillard
The fan in question mocked Lillard in a creative and low-key way in Indianapolis as ‘Dame' prepared to shoot free throws. They decided to poke fun at Lillard's tattoos in a surprising way.
Lillard seemed undeterred as he racked up 14 points in 19 minutes in the first half of Thursday's game. Brook Lopez added 14 of his own for the Bucks, who trailed big-time at half-time. The fan's dig on Bobby Portis was a little more eye-opening, no pun intended.
The man took aim at Portis' appearance in a stark way as he shouted to Portis about the way his eyes, face and head look.
Portis, Bucks Attempt To Claw Their Way Back
Portis pushed his point totals into double-digits against the Pacers as the Bucks did their best to battle back, but remained more than 10 points behind as of the 8 o'clock hour in Indianapolis.
The Pacers' young team, lead by Haliburton, Pascal Siakim and Obi Toppin, appeared on its way to a series win, and continuation of the youth movement in the National Basketball Association that has been taking over recently. They led by double digits as the fourth quarter began in earnest.
Portis' defense has been strong for his entire career, but he had no defense for his Pacers' opponents, and the hecklers, on Thursday as things started to go south for the Bucks. Lillard's season now runs the risk of ending before it the conference semi-finals, let alone the Eastern Conference Finals or NBA Finals. The Bucks appeared on their way to a playoff exit, unless ‘Dame' has more heroics left under his belt.
