Indiana Pacers head coach Nate McMillan provided some key updates on the injuries of Malcolm Brogdon and Domantas Sabonis ahead of Monday's showdown with the Washington Wizards.

Brogdon missed Saturday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers with a neck injury. Now, per J. Michael of the Indianapolis Star, it remains uncertain if the former Rookie of the Year will be able to suit up in their upcoming game.

It has been a tough stretch for Brogdon, who contracted COVID-19 and was forced to quarantine prior to joining the team. Should he be forced to sit on Monday, it will be Brogdon's 19th missed game of the season.

Meanwhile, McMillan said that big man Domantas Sabonis is “still a ways away” due to plantar fasciitis in his left foot.

The Pacers knew Sabonis would be on the shelf for a period, though it remains to be seen whether he will even be available prior to the end of seeding games.

Indiana might not have had Brogdon or Sabonis on Saturday, but they had TJ Warren.

The Pacers forward absolutely dominated the Sixers, scoring a whopping 53 points on 20-for-29 shooting from the field, including 9-for-12 from beyond the arc. He also finished the contest with four rebounds and three assists to go along with a pair of blocks as Indiana notched a crucial victory.

On another positive note, Victor Oladipo — whose status was up in the air in the week leading up to the opener — played 32 minutes and registered 15 points, seven rebounds and two assists. He was a positive impact for the team needing some much-needed star power as they try to climb the East standings.

The Pacers cannot expect to get that kind of performance from Warren every time out. But they will hope to soldier on without Malcolm Brogdon or Domantas Sabonis for the time being.
