Myles Turner hasn't been able to protect the rim for the Indiana Pacers for quite some time due to an injury. However, it's not going to stop him from defending the team's dignity on Twitter.

After the Pacers defeated the Charlotte Hornets in their Play-In Tournament matchup, Turner took to the Twitterverse for a quick shoutout dedicated to his team's doubters.

The Hornets owned the season series against the Pacers, 2-1, but the latter's playoff experience paid dividends Tuesday night. In fact, Indiana was walking wounded heading into their game as, outside of Turner, Caris LeVert was also inactive after being placed under the league's Health and Safety protocols.

LaMelo Ball has been the darling of almost all media outlets in his rookie season. The Hornets guard proved to be as good as advertised, treating everyone to breathtaking plays on a nightly basis. He's a big reason behind Charlotte's rise to prominence in 2020-21 which may very well bag him the Rookie of the Year award.

On the other hand, the Pacers aren't as celebrated as their counterparts. They're not the flashiest group out there but the team is ready to get down and dirty on every possession.

Domantas Sabonis was a steady force all game long, scoring 14 points to go along with 21 rebounds and nine assists. The Pacers also welcomed back Malcolm Brogdon as the former top rookie awardee tallied 16 points and eight assists in his return.

They now await the winner of the matchup between the Washington Wizards and Boston Celtics.
